Workbook Activities

There are several activities that can be completed in the different workbooks and duotangs. I want you to work at your own pace and decide how much and which topic you want to work on.  If completed you can take a picture or scan your work and send it to me.  Also these completed activities can be given to me at a later date.  Whatever works best.  Any questions, please email me or send a message on remind!

Daily Language Practice
We are currently working on Week 23, Monday. This activity focuses on editing skills, writing complete sentences with correct punctuation, spelling and capital letters.  This is usually a daily activity.  You can always look through the booklet to see if you have missed any pages you can complete.

Spelling
We are currently working on Unit 12.  Students can complete the spelling review sheets and practice their unit words.  If interested, they can study the unit words and they can complete a spelling test on the green sheets.

Cursive Writing
We are currently working on the letter M.  We have been just tracing and writing the letters. When we finish the booklet, we will go back to the beginning and try writing the words in cursive.

Journal
Students can write a daily or weekly journal entry.
It can just be free writing, or they can decide on a topic and add a title to their writing.  We are focusing on writing in complete sentences with detail, paying attention to capital letters, punctuation, spelling and grammar.  They use personal dictionaries to help with spelling.  If the word they are looking for is not in their personal dictionary then we add it.  We have been starting paragraph writing. (Topic sentence, 2-3 Detail sentences and a Concluding sentence)

Math Drills and practice sheets
We just finished memorizing the 6 x table and we are ready to start the 7 x table.  There are many sheets in this booklet to practice their multiplication skills that they can complete when ready.  Also, there are addition and subtraction drills they can practice.  We usually time and record how long it takes to complete a drill and then the next time we try to beat our time.

Jump Math 4.1
We are currently working on page 128. The students will need to look at the example and read the questions carefully to complete the work.  If you look through the booklet, there are many pages the students can still complete.
